Rio Celeste
Translated as “Heavenly River”, the Rio Celeste is a river in Tenorio Volcano National Park that is renowned for it’s turquoise color and lush jungle that surround it. Our guided tours take you along the shores of Rio Celeste, culminating in a refreshing swim in pools of water that are the color of the sky above.

Windsurfing & Kiteboarding at Lake Arenal

Since expanding to its current size of 86 sq km (34 sq miles) in 1979, Lake Arenal has developed a reputation around the world as one of the premier freshwater locations for windsurfing and kiteboarding. Ride the ridges and valleys of the stunningly beautiful landscape that surrounds Lake Arenal. We send you out with one of its most knowledgeable guides and horsemen, taking you to lush areas full of exotic trees, plants and wildlife. All of our horses are dependable and friendly, making it an experience that even novice horse-riders can enjoy.

The endless coves and fingers of Lake Arenal are awesome places to dump a kayak and paddle around. The volcanoes and jungles from a kayaker’s point of view are phenomenal, and the lake itself is a magnet for a wide variety of Toucans, Hummingbirds and Hawks. It really is quite a show.

Our guided tours will take you along the edge of Lake Arenal and into its tranquil coves. Our guides are local and provide an informed explanation of everything you’re seeing, hearing and tasting. Feel free to bring a fishing rod to go for some Tilapia or Guapote. But be ready, there are some big ones in there!

Premium Lake Arenal Boat Trip

Our premier All-day Lake Arenal boat tour is the stuff of legends. It starts as early in the day that you want and runs into the night hours. Spend the day fishing for Guapote (Rainbow Bass), exploring the endless nooks and crannies of the lake, or just slowly cruising aimlessly while enjoying drinks and good company.

Right before sunset, we park in the shadow of the iconic Arenal Volcano and fire up the onboard grill for a BBQ on the lake. We have a full bar onboard, including beer from our own microbrewery, and you can either turn on some tunes over the surround sound or simply just enjoy the sound of the breeze while floating underneath the stars.
